Rich was an experienced equestrian. His wife Claudia and daughter Alexandra also rode; he was lucky to share this passion with the people closest to him. After that pivotal phone call with Dan, in the spring of 2014, the two men came together with 40 acres in hand, and a vision. A vision of the most complete and most fully realized equestrian paradise that they could build. With Daniel’s savvy and Rich’s passion, they would stop at nothing, spare no expense, and make no compromises.

At Royalton it all starts with the horses. The horses at Royalton Equestrian Center live in the utmost of comfort, with roomy, matted, well- ventilated stalls are always piled high with top quality dust free shavings. Each stall is kept meticulously clean and boasts a large window with a fan, automated organic fly control system and 24 hour a day video surveillance, so owners can check in when not at the facility. Royalton horses are fed a customized diet of their owners choosing and unlimited top quality hay. They enjoy customized daily turnout on nutritionally sound grass paddocks, although dry paddocks and medical paddocks are also available. Our horses are spoiled on a regular basis with carrots, apples, mints and treats. Royalton’s highly trained grooms live on the premises and are always just seconds away.

The concept continues with the facility. Royalton’s gated campus houses a 200×200 world class Grand Prix ring with GGT Footing which is dragged multiple times a day and irrigated with our unique water cannon system for a completely uniform, dust free riding experience. Our jumps rival those found at the country’s best shows and the course is changed weekly to keep things fresh. Royalton’s 2 acre grass derby field has fixed and movable obstacles over gently rolling terrain. It is mowed and irrigated regularly to keep it in top riding condition. The derby field is a great place to train for those big shows run on grass as well as a beautiful setting for a relaxing hack. Not to exclude any riders, Royalton also has an outdoor 120×60 ring with GGT footing that serves as a regulation dressage ring complete with letters and, with its complete set of horse show quality jumps, is often set as a course for up for our “short stirrup” riders. Additionally, Royalton is very proud to present our brand new state of the art 120×240 indoor arena. This well lit, substantial structure boasts GGT Footing as well as 18 roll up glass garage doors that keep things comfortable, light and airy no matter what the weather is outside. We’re also proud to offer our clients the use of our 6 horse covered Odyssey Performance Trainer. This equipment is paramount in conditioning the actively competing equine athlete as well as rehabilitating those who may be recovering from injury.

It couldn’t happen without the staff. The Royalton staff are unparalleled. Our grooms are highly trained, caring, kind individuals who really love the horses they attend too. Our trainers are the best at what they do. From short stirrup to Grand Prix they help Royalton riders compete at the top of their game. Unlike other facilities, we welcome outside trainers to come and bring their own clients and experience what we have to offer and become part of the “Royalton Family”.

The Ferraras and Behmoirams are actively involved in the day to day running of the operation and consider Royalton Farms to be an extension of their own homes. Alexandra Behmoiram and Gianna Ferrara ride at the farm, but all Royalton boarders are treated like family. With comfortably furnished, temperature-controlled lounges and tack rooms equipped with Wi-fi and Satellite television, all riders can relax and grab a complimentary coffee, drink or snack before or after a ride.

The Estate House is the property’s original 19,000 square foot palatial residence that has been transformed into an equestrian themed clubhouse where members can enjoy an drink at the fully equipped bar, watch some TV, grab a bite at the cafe, take a dip in the indoor or outdoor pool or just relax after a ride. For those individuals who want to totally immerse themselves in the Royalton lifestyle, we offer The Estates at Royalton: eleven private, upscale, custom built home sites equipped with their own barn and paddock on the Royalton gated campus.
